War Still Sucks

I am pleased and honored that “War Sucks” will be part of the 2012 Art Quilt Elements show. So, if you missed it at Art=Quilts=Art in Albany, NY last January, now’s the chance to see it, plus a gallery full of other fantastic art quilts, in Wayne, PA. The show opens on March 30th, 2012 and runs until May 13th. They will also have a catalog if, like me, you will not be able to attend. Art quilts always look better in person though.

  1. Congratulations! I remember that you have a piece in a show that will be at the Gerald Ford Museum. Do you have the info again? I’m going to be in the area in the process of our move this summer. Thanks!

  2. Congratulations!!! I will be sure to get a catalogue. I would love to see it in person, but a catalogue will do for now. Have a sparkly week!

  3. That’s a great work of art. The first thing I saw was a river of blood running through it. Thanks for all your inspiration and may the wars end soon.

  4. Kristin, your piece looked wonderful in the gallery and they had a bench opposite it for people to sit and contemplate. The lighting was great, but without a flash, none of my pictures do your piece justice. This is such a compelling piece.

  5. Kristin,
Your quilt was placed right as you came into the main room, and as Vivien said, was lit well. I thought it was a knock out. Now, if we could just get the people who bang the war drums to have the same feeling.
