I Don’t Even Know Where to Start

Day four (I think, I’ve lost count) at AQT and I don’t even know where to start. OK, here’s my room. This has got to be the snuggliest bed EVER! Too many pillows, but a wonderful thick comforter.

It’s all good. Like yesterday’s Dessert — the best cheesecake (other than neighbor M’s):

Here’s my picture of Gerrie taking a picture of my roomie Anne taking a picture of Gerrie. Anne is a college-level art and art education teacher and we have had some wonderful conversations. Bonus that my roomie and my quilt mom get along too, so, with the addition of Kris who I met last year, it’s just one big party here!

The fruits of yesterday’s labors:

Today we lunched on the lake, but I forgot to take a picture of the fruit cobbler dessert. Bad, bad me.

I did take a picture of the moose with the Mona Lisa smile.

  1. hmm.. cheesecake.. btw, NOT an american dessert.. grin.. the romans had something quite similar and then it got lost over time only to be rediscovered where?? In Heidelberg.. (though in the 17th century).. lol.. so I guess Kristin, you predetermined to post cheesecake pictures! ha ha ha
what seems to be a very american variety is strawberry cheesecake though
and yes, I was wondering about the comforter as well.. ha ha.. what a big faux pas! 😀

  2. *lol*
THANKS for the moose! it´s gorgeous. mona lisa can get lost. here´s my new cutie!

just too bad he´s dead. *sigh*

though i don´t think he would be hanging around there if he still were alive… 😉

  3. Kristin –
Just discovered your website and blog and I absolutely LOVE your work. Your quilts are original and creative – unlike anyone else’s. I enjoy your blog and musings on being a mom and juggling it all. I’m an art quilter also with two boys, ages 6 and 10, and it’s a constant struggle. I also did an independent study with Elizabeth Barton this summer and I read that she was taken ill at AQT. I’ve emailed her but haven’t heard from her. Do you have any news on her health? Thanks Kristin and I look forward to your future postings!
